horarios rotativos
Hi Guys,
Any idea of how to say Horarios Rotativos? meaning those workers who have a full time job, but their timetable varies acording to days. They may work , for instance, Monday , Tuesday from 9 to 5 but Wednesday, thrusday and Friday from 5 pm to 1 am
Thank you
Diego

Re: horarios rotativos
Diegonel,
The term would be rotating shifts or, if talking about the actual schedule of shifts, print or electronic, it would be rotating shift schedule.

Re: horarios rotativos
Sometimes also referred to as 'swinging shifts'

Re: horarios rotativos
KenCR and penningdcp,
Thank you very much for your contribution.
KenCr,
I also thought of SWING SHIFT , but the dictionary does not give the definition I quoted first. Have a look:
OXFORD LEARNER'S DICTIONARY 5TH EDITON
swing shift (noun)
(NAmE, informal) the shift (= period of time worked each day) from 3 or 4 o’clock in the afternoon until 11 or 12 at night; the workers who work this shift

Re: horarios rotativos
You are right about swing shift. In a rotating schedule, employees work all shifts on a rotating basis. Additional information at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shift_work
