Too complicated email for me.. should I rephrase or can anyone help?

I'm trying to write a letter in Spanish, with the help of all sorts of books and dictionaries, but this is too complicated for me who has never studied the language. I give up! Could anyone help me?
I know it's quite a lot, but only one sentence would be much appreciated!

It would sadden me a bit to part with it, since I have worked on it day and night. - But because you feel the picture to be so special to you, I can imagine selling it (to you).

There is one thing - I applied some time ago to be part of a small art event this autumn, and I found out only yesterday that I will participate.
It is not necessary, but could I have the painting on display during that event, and we can work something out after that?
The event will be on the 5th and 6th of September.
I have made a few commissioned paintings, but not many since I don't paint to sell.

I can not value this painting myself (and money is not the most important thing to me), so I will let you suggest how much you are willing to pay for it. I am sure we can agree on something.
I can send it to you so you can see it in reality, before you decide.

But I ask (of you), if you should ever tire of the painting, please, don't throw it away. You can rather sell it back to me in that case, than dispose of it.

Estoy emocionada con tus amables palabras y muy contenta de que aprecies tanto la pintura. Me entristecería un poco separarme de ella porque ha sido un trabajo de días y noches pero como sientes que la pintura es tan especial para ti, pienso que puedo venderla (a ti).

Hay una situación: hace un tiempo solicité participar en un pequeño evento este otoño y ayer supe que voy a participar.
No es necesario, pero podría exhibir la pintura durante el evento y luego ponernos de acuerdo?
El evento será el 5 y 6 de septiembre.
He obtenido algunas comisiones de algunas pinturas que he hecho pero no muchas porque no pinto para vender.

No puedo valorar la pintura por mi misma (y el dinero no es lo más importante para mi), así que dejaré que sugieras cuánto deseas pagar por ella. Estoy segura que nos pondremos de acuerdo.
Te la puedo enviar para que puedas verla mejor antes de que decidas.
Pero te pido por favor, que si alguna vez te cansas de la pintura, no la tires. En ese caso, mejor me la vendes antes de deshacerte de ella.

Sandra, perdon, tengo una objeción con tu traduccion.
La oración: I have made a few commissioned paintings, but not many since I don't paint to sell.
En español se traduciría como: "He pintado algunos cuadros por encargo, pero no muchos, ya que yo no pinto para vender".
Porque en ingles "commision" (relacionado con arte o musica) es un encargo que te hacen para que compongas una musica o realices alguna obra de arte.
Espero que no te moleste mi observación.
