Assistant Director-General for Administration
Good day!
I want to know the meaning of this position. Please, is this an Assistant to the Director General for Administration or is it like a Deputy Director General assisting the administration? It's very confusing for me. Thanks in advance:confused:
Re: Assistant Director-General for Administration
Hi Sandy, I guess we'll have to wait for other opinions but I think it refers to Deputy Director General for the Administration Department
Hope it helps my friend :)
Re: Assistant Director-General for Administration
Gracias Hebe amiga. Son tantos los términos legales y los cargos que ya ni pensar puedo. Me quedaré con tu opción. Era para mi la más acertada asi que corroborándolo tú, más que suficiente.;)
Re: Assistant Director-General for Administration
Yes Girls, it seems to be an "INTERINO" so, I agree with Hebe on DEPUTY
Re: Assistant Director-General for Administration
Hi Sandra,
Hebe and Diego are most likely right but an assistant may or may not hold an official rank. It can be confusing but a Deputy Director has authority over all lower personnel in the department while an assistant may only work for the Director and have no authority over other employees.
Unfortunately there are companies who use the term Assistant in the same way as Deputy. You have to know the structure of the particular organization to know which applies.
Hope I haven't muddied the waters on this issue.

Re: Assistant Director-General for Administration
Hi Joel,
Thanks for the input. I must say I have no idea about the structure of the organization. The name and position are at the end of an agreement. BUT, now that I have this new information...this agreement is about hiring new staff, so if this person is to sign this agreement, that means that she has authority in the matter.

It was exactly the other way around!!! Thanks so much, Joel!
