Hi MariaLaura,
I am not sure what is the target language, but here is a definition of the term maybe with this you will know how to translate it:
Definition 1
Unpredictable and uncontrollable, but normal, reduction of work force due to resignations, retirement, sickness, or death.
Definition 2
Loss of a material or resource due to obsolescence or spoilage.

If you're looking to understand what attrition would mean in this context, it refers to a company reducing the number of employees but not replacing people who leave. They don't have to pay severance packages since they aren't firing anyone and their payroll is reduced, so it is a cost-cutting practice...that probably doesn't have a direct translation in another language.

Hi everyone!
María Laura, if you need to translate this term into Spanish, I would suggest "reducción de personal".
Have a look at this site from Venezuela: www.ciec.org.ve/extranet/juranteriores.asp?id_var=2.
I think it may be useful for your translation :)
