myspace comments

i was reading comments on my friends' myspace pages... and i came across one that i'm not sure i'm understanding correctly... can someone please help? the slang and intentional typos are throwing me off... a lot...

is he calling tracy a b****? and is he trying to have a baby with his ex? i'm so confused... it's like a soap opera...

Haha I want to tell you something super funny haha, *something* about Tracy, she/he made a ball of ice (snowball?) but what a dumbass haha, but that's another story...and also I have decided to try and have a baby with my ex, we'll see what happens, haha that is an epic decision

Anyway... sounds like a soap opera indeed!!

the person who posted this met tracy while on a trip and they had a fling... which ended up lasting beyond the trip, through the internet. so, i guess he was saying it has snowballed from what it started out as...

the thing i really am the most curious about is if anyone can tell if he's making fun of tracy for being so serious about it... and whether deciding to have a baby with his ex is past tense or present...

"i had decided" vs. "i have decided." because that would make a huuuuge difference to tracy...:confused:

pedo means fart but also when you are drunk people say you have a pedo... but in this particular case pedo refers to a problem that turned into an ice ball, so it got bigger and bigger.
deciding to have a baby refers that he made a decision, so it's a fact that he wants to have a BB with X.
he said this is a time for decision...(epoca de decisiones)

"Pedo" is a vulgar word that literally means "fart", but it can change meaning according to context and the words that surround it. It could also mean drinking.
Here are some examples. All the expressions are colloquial and vulgar:
To be "al pedo" means to be idle, with nothing to do (estoy al pedo, es domingo).
To be "en pedo" means to be drunk (Juan está en pedo, se tomó toda la cerveza).
To have one means drunkness (Tengo un pedo, tomé mucho).
If you did something "al pedo" means it was not needed (compré galletitas al pedo porque ya había).

I think he's not really interested in Tracy anymore... What was a fling, got much bigger than expected, he says. Anyway, it's time for decisions and he's decided to have a baby with another woman... I agree with SandraT.
If Tracy is your friend, I think you should tell her.

i really don't know her (tracy) that well, i just met her while i was in mexico, but she's a nice girl...

the guy who posted this is coming across as a huge scumbag... i think i'm going to wait a little bit and see how the conversation progresses... but he's been telling tracy that he loves her and wants to be with her... it's pretty shocking how two-faced people can be!!

everyone on here is so awesome!! thanks you guys!! i'll keep you updated on the happenings in the saga of ruben y tracy (and apparently ruben's ex and a baby).

i decided to go straight to the source... and it seems like ruben was trying to downplay the whole thing... but here is what he said:

pedo=fart, mess, mistake, or just something that happened... not necessarily negative. (i don't think i believe him)

he wasn't calling her "cabrona" just using it as an expression for the situation... like "very intense"

and his ex asked him to have a baby with her. she is single and at the age where she wants to have kids. they used to be married. he said he hasn't completely agreed, but that she lives in another state (in mexico) and it would be purely so she could have a kid.

so... there's his side of the story... i don't know how true it is... but the soap opera has had it's finale. fin.

There's a very typical expression -at least in Argentina- that says: "tiene un pedo en la cabeza" "he has a fart in his head" meaning he has no brain, he doesn't think...

OK. I think that's this guy's case... hahaha

hahaha... yeah... i think i have to agree.

even if he thinks all of this is completely logical, i don't think myspace is the place to share it. and since i brought it up to him, i think he might be more careful where he shares such personal stuff. haha.
