I can't think of a litteral translation of "pagar con creces" because the expression is figurative and you have to specify how and why you are paying (and if you are actually paying :p).

Hi, nabylm!
"to pay off handsomely" would be a good choice for "pagar con creces" (not in it's figurative sense though, but money-wise)
Also, "creces" means "sobrepasar, ampliamente": more than, by far, be way over, far exceed.
Does anybody come up with other alternatives? :)
Me parece que "amply" y "fully" son adverbios que complementan el sentido de "con creces" en algunos casos.
I agree with Danielr.
"make it up amply"
And what about "make it up big time"? Would it work as well?
