Genial!! Como se dice "acompañante terapeutico". Alguien cuyo trabajo es acompañar a una personal con discapacidad física o mental.
Therapeutic companion? or something of the sort?

That's a good question. I'd say they're simply called nurses (generically) but there is a company in my area that provides such services and they call them "Home Health Aides" for those who provide general health care for the elderly and disabled.

Here's another one called a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or Occupation(al) Therapist Assistant.
