Could someone help me edit my paragraph for my Spanish 2 class?(it's short)

So, I wrote this paragraph, for extra credit, in my Spanish 2 class. I didn't use any translators....but my Spanish is very mediocre (I am working hard to better it though), hence the need for extra credit.
Could someone edit it for me? Because I have no way of checking it anymore than I already have, seeing as though, it seems mostly correct to me. But, one can never be too careful. I really don't want to try an online translator. It's the last thing I would want.

Sr. Rufino Tamayo nació el 26 de agosto de 1899 en la ciudad de Oaxaca, Mexico. Él era zapoteca y su herencia lo influyó sus obras. Estudió arte en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas. Después de que estudió allí, él también fue influenciado por el cubismo, el impresionismo y el fauvismo. Sus obras eran distintamente mexicana aunque las influencias eran tan diferentes. Sin embargo, a causa de la agitación política, apareció un traidor a muchos y se reubicó a Nueva York. Luego, Tamayo creó un estilo de arte de “Mixografía”. Mixografía fue impreso en papel, pero había una textura muy rica. Mientras pintó muchas obras pequeñas, también creó muchos murales famosos. Su mayor influencia viene del cubismo, el impresionismo y el fauvismo. Sus obras son distintivamente mexicanas aunque provengan de variadas influencias. Sin embargo, a causa de la agitación política tuvo que exilarse en Nueva York. Tamayo creó una técnica conocida como mixografía, la cual consiste en un proceso de impresión de gran textura. Mientras pintaba obras pequeñas, también creaba fascinantes murales. Uno de sus murales más famosos es el Nacimiento de la Nacionalidad. Tamayo construyó un museo de arte en Oaxaca a su regreso a México en 1959, el cual lleva el nombre de Museo Rufino Tamayo. Su pintura Tres Personajes fue robada en 1984 pero fue recuperada y subastada en la galería Sotheby en 2007. Tamayo murió el 24 de junio de 1991 pero su herencia perdura hasta hoy.
