Desperate..!
Hi, everyone!
I am new on this site. However, I am in desperate need of your help. I am creating a brochure for a new program that we are offering that is called "Cuddlers".
I am translating the brochure, however, I am having a hard time translating "Cuddler". Does anyone have any idea as to how I can translate such a word?
Please help!!
Thank you, very much.

Re: Desperate..!
Hello Iliana,
Can you give us some more context? Cuddle means abrazar, mimar. So "cuddler" could mean persona cariñosa, persona afectuosa. But again, I need to know if it fits your context.

Re: Desperate..!
Hi, andreap
Sure, I can give you more information. This is a program that is being stablished in a Hospital setting. Our cuddlers are trained adult volunteer, who hold, talk, read and console babies that are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Thank you,
Iliana

Re: Desperate..!
Unfortunately Spanish is not as economical as English, and right now the only phrase I can think of is "personas que brindan contención y apoyo a los bebés". I know it's too long but for me it renders the source idea. There is no literal translation for that word. Maybe someone else can give you a better option.

Re: Desperate..!
Thank you, andreap..!!
I know there is no actual translation for the word cuddler...however, I like the context of your phrase. If we can't find an actual word that might fit the cuddler concept, we might just have to use the word cuddler with the phrase description that you just gave me.
Thanks a bunch!! ;)
