What does "Line of Duty" mean?

I'm not sure about how to translate "Line of Duty" in this short sentence, could you help me out?

Your sentence sounds like it might be a medical document so in that case I think it means having responsibility. Something like a nurse who may not have specific "direct care" responsibilities but has a general duty or line of duty obligation.

Also, this short sentence was extracted fro a Pennsylvania health care coverage form. I was checking the .gov website (Home) to see if this "Line of Duty" (with capital letters) could be the name of a Benefit Plan or Coverage, but I dont think.

Yes, I think responsibility would be a good translation of line of duty in this case. I do not think it could be misinterpreted.
