Haha Great! Now I'm in sync. I haven't ever used a hyphen.
I would not take whatever AP has to say for granted. It's far from being the old reliable company it used to be! I'd trust Merriam Webster better.
Well, Merriam-Webster are still using the hyphen, but I think they only do it to keep consistency with their own name! Hehe...
No, but seriously, I don't think the big technology companies (Google, Apple and Microsoft, to name a few) are still using the hyphen there.
I think they made the right decision. E-mail just doesn't feel right.
The truth is, hardly anybody uses a hyphen in English. Try googling e-mail or do a Yahoo search of e-mail. You will find that practically all responses are for email.
Thank you vicente. Iīve never been one to use the hyphen. What can I say itīs just not "me".
email and e-mail both are right words.
