Three recommendations

I am currently reading "Kite Runner" and it is excellent. I would suggest it to anyone. Also, a few years ago I read "A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius" and it is still one of my favorites. A third choice, and another of my top 5 is “Memoirs of a Geisha”, but please read the book before seeing the movie, it is much better! :cool:

I've heard "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" is good, but someone lent me "You Shall Know Our Velocity" and I found it so exhaustingly overdone that I couldn't make it past 50 pages.

These days I have "Noticia de un secuestro" which is fascinating for the kidnapping stuff but even more so for the Pablo Escobar and Padre Garcia Herreros stuff. They were both luminaries in their respective fields.
