I'm a new member and completely lost in English-Spanish translation problems . Please, could somebody help me to translate properly this phrase: "I'm bitten by spain bug"? Because, translating it literally (soy mordido por bicho de España) sounds pretty silly.

Here is a possible translation: "Me picó un bicho/insecto en España". I think you should be more specific, because there is no such thing as a "spain bug", I mean, there is not a single species of insect with that name, so you probably meant you were bitten by a bug when you were in Spain, not bitten by a spain bug. I hope this works for you. Also, you should have posted your thread in another forum, because this one is only to greet newcomers to these forums, but well, nevermind.

As for your original question, I am not too sure, but I would gamble on :
“me picó una cantárida” ...?

I don't think the two above posts understood your question. I'd translate your sentence as:

Me enamoré de España.
Me apasioné por España.
Estoy perdidamente enamorado de España.
No hay nada que me interese más que España.

And so forth....

Be aware that "to be bitten by the XXXX bug" is an idiom and, therefore, cannot be translated literally into another language. The idea that you are trying to express is that you are consumed by an intense love for and interest in Spain.

Without the article "the" in the English sentence I'm not sure. We need more context but I offer this version for consideration:

The phrase "to be bitten by (the) bug" means that one has recently become fascinated by something.

Most common example: "bitten by the love bug" means that one has fallen in love.

It can be used to describe a recently acquired desire, or fascination for, or with almost anything. Ex.: "He's been bitten by the golf bug"; "She's got the bug to gamble"; "The new car bug bit him".

In this context, to be bitten by the Spain bug would mean one has become highly interested in Spain and/or things Spanish.

In there a Spanish expression for this? If not, tal vez algo como, "Tengo muchas ganas de ir a España": "España me encanta", etc.
