Croatia is now on my list...to return. It was so beautiful and it has mountains, coast, extensive forests, castles and other installations that go back thousands of years....beautiful and relaxing!

Myself, I haven't been there for 16 years or so, and I don't think I would go at this point in my life, but his argument is valid, I guess.

I would go to Disneyworld and stay there for like a month visiting all the water parks and artificial beaches, staying at different hotels, and buying useless stuff from gift shops, and then I'd die a happy girl.

There aren't too many places I wouldn't go to, if given the opportunity. Here are some of the ones that first come to mind:

Colombia- I've been twice, and I loved it. It's diverse in terms of geography, cultures, climates, etc. In my opinion, Bogota has to be one of the most underrated cities on the planet. Then there's the Caribbean coast, which has spectacular beaches, especially in Parque Nacional Tayrona, and Medellin, which is another major city with lots of cultural attractions, Cali, which for me has a near-perfect climate, Cartagena, which is like a big open-air museum of the colonial period... I could go on and on.

Mexico- Mexico City ranks among the top 5 cities I've been to.
Brazil
Venezuela
France
Poland
Spain
Russia
Egypt
Turkey
Iran
India
Japan
Cambodia
etc...

Correction: the alhambra ("the red" in Arab, if you go there you will see why) is an awesome and ancient complex of buildings and gardens. It is however located in Granada, not in Córdoba.

Default Re: Travelling

The places I am dying to visit now are Malaysia, Morocco, India, Japan and China.
Thing is, I always prefer having a local or at least someone who has resided in the country so that I don't only get a tourist perspective...but clearly it’s not always easy and so this is not to say if you offer me a trip to any of these tomorrow on my own I will not take it!!

As for recommendations, I agree with Matt on the beauty of Colombia. Beyond the fact that I am Colombia myself, everywhere I've visited I've found people with parallel admiration towards Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Parque Tayrona (which I myself have not been to) and so on. Then there is also Israel that comes to mind...great country with rich culture, amazing history and people and it’s just incredible that in such a small country you’re able to find so much beauty in general!
