I will be spending the holidays in Bogotá Colombia and wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations for places to see within or outside of the city. I know there are lots of good websites with that information but some personal experience would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi Sarab!
I haven't had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful country but I know from a Colombian friend that Barranquillas is a place worth visiting. If you happen to go, let me know what you think. Happy Holidays!!

Thanks for your responses! I had a wonderful time and would love to go back soon! I mainly stayed in Bogotá but did have the opportunity to go to the town of Zipaquirá where we were able to see the Catedral de Sal which was one of the highlights of the trip. This should definitely be listed as one of the wonders of the world as it is a beautiful work of art and a functioning church at the same time. There was so much to see and do in the city but as always, never enough time to do everything. If you ever get the opportunity to travel there, don't pass it up!
