Default Summer/Winter

One of the things I don’t really grasp :
Half of the globe is having winter, and it’s summer on the other half...
While you were talking about 30° and beach holidays, we went skiing !

We went to Zermatt.
Zermatt lies in Switzerland, right on the Italian border, in the shade of the majestic Matterhorn (4.478m).
Offering 313km of slopes with guaranteed snow in winter, and summer skiing and snowboarding on the glaciers. (Top elevation 3.899m).

The village is car-free, with only electric shuttles and some horse-coaches.
It is luxuriant, elegant, and very expensive.
Mind you, we go there for skiing, NOT for shopping!
But if you like, you can find the most expensive Swiss watches there, I’ve seen some at US$ 45.000 and the most exclusive fur coats and jewellery...

So, first thing I did when we got home, buy a lottery ticket !

We have been brought up with the idea of saving up for a rainy day,
and not throwing money around, etc...

but sometimes you should do the things
that reason says you shouldn't !
And don't postpone happy moments
for they may never come again.

Frank... You're so sweet! Your words touched my heart...

Believe me, Reminder is right... it's not that easy in this part of the world... but if we give up our dreams, what else do we have?

BELIEVE YOU CAN, AND YOU WILL
