Thumbs up Looking for tips on Translation Agencies.

Dear ladies and gentlemen :

I guess at least a few of you might be aware that I recently joined this forum, around 3 weeks give or take. The entire goal for me to have taken this step is aimed at getting to know more colleagues working on this field. But I can't deny that you all might be of a great help for me to make a success of my work as a Spanish translator.
I am a certified Spanish Medical Interpreter and have worked for several agencies committed to hiring interpreters.
Nonetheless, I've recently begun working on the translation field due to 2 primary facts: 1- The market for interpreters( On-Site) is really bad in the area where I am currently living in(Leicester, NC. USA). 2- I've been teaching Spanish as a second language for over 10 years in a row. And that, plus other natural talents I have, have undeniably led me to get the certainty that I have excellent skills as a translator.
So, I've been on search of agencies either hiring translators or accepting their applications so that they work on a non-paid basis.
I've already translated several documents( files) recently, including an entire website. However, in order to do the things by the book, I should start from scratch and work for free. By doing so, I'll be building up something good to get on it(the translation field, I mean).
As you all might guess, English-Spanish translation is my choice. It'll take a while for me to get on the translation of Spanish-English documents. But not for now.
Any suggestions in regard with agencies on the web being eager to discover new individuals having the potential I just described.., that's going to be quite welcomed.

In advance, thank you all for your nice feedback on this concern.
RAUL.

Gracias, Laura..
Y.. me retiré.

Estimados/as:

Espero sepan comprender, pero preferimos mantener los temas comerciales fuera de las discusiones de English Spanish Translator Org, por lo que voy a cerrar este thread, y les pido que se abstengan de hablar estos temas en estos foros, muchas gracias!
