Hi everyone!!
I've been working with Trados for some time now, and I am wondering the differences in the choices you can make when you import. I almost always leave "Keep most recent ticked", because I assume it will delete the older units, but I'm not really sure. Anyone can help? Thanks!!

you can choose from other options I think - either overwrite the previous term given or keep the oldest term, etc, depending on what you need.
Sometimes when memories come from clients, we´d better keep the terms provided by them, so in those cases I use Merge or I ask client if that memory has been used strictly by them or at least approved by them, to know what to do best... what do you think? |

Wouldn't merge keep all the segments? The memory would grow into a considerable size then, everytime you import something it stays there...
