TM Exchange - Trados and Wordfast
How do you exchange TMs between Trados and Wordfast?

I do it with the Convert Format in Wordfast wich change TMW in TMX, but I think you can do it with trados too, like Export in New format.. I think..

You can exchange any TM between CAT tools as far as it is saved under TMX format which is the standard for Translation Memories Interchange.

Hi guys,
Before exporting my Trados TM to TMX for Wordfast, three options appear: TMX 1.1, TMX 4, and another one which version I can't remember now. What do you suggest I do? go for the newest or the oldest version? thank you! |

I'd rather go with the old version...you'll be able to open it with the newer version, but not the way around.
