Default How would you name your translation company?

Imagine you about to open your own translation company. You have everything to the last detail...expect a name for your company...and..a slogan/motto.
How would you name your translation company? Would you use a motto?

Seven years ago, at the dawning of the new century, I had this crazy idea of incorporating a company named NEWCENT-LANGSER (NEW CENTURY LANGUAGE SERVICES) which would include language teaching (at all levels), translation, interpretation, and tourist assistance –

I called off that project, and now it is hard for me to come up with a catchy name for a language service company or a translation company

Hi, this is an interesting thing to think about - I guess I would choose something catchy and that would relate in a way to the idea of languages. Maybe incorporate "Babel" in the name - "Babel Translation Agency" (I especially like how this is pronounced in English) -and, as I motto, I would go for some kind of pun that people would remember easily- "you name it, we translate it!", or something of the sort!

Hi Carmen Maria,
Babel is a registered name already so, you will be in deep trouble if you use a name that is copyrighted. I like your motto though, I think it's catchy too. Yes, that's a most, you should use it, oana-ls.
The name, that's difficult...Maybe link it to a place, or region or person...I can't think of anything now...

Hi,

Thank you Sanda -you are definitely right - Babel is surely registered already and actually it has been over-used recently, so maybe something with a more modern resonance to go with the motto: "QuickTrans" or something of the sort.

Nice question hehehee.
Babel, Languages, and World are words that I heard all around!
How about "Slow Trans, we take no rushes" hehehe, that's my dream agency....

Hey Fabianea, I guess you wouldn't get so many clients, although it's a very true name. Many translations are slightly inaccurate, or not so slightly.

Oana

I'd definitely use a motto. It's a hard question, since there are sooooo many translation companies... I guess it should be catchy as well, right?
