Question Multi Term

Is Multi Term useful? I haven't seen too many people using it.

You're right.

We do not use it so much, probably because in order to use it, first we need to have it, and secondly we need to learn how to use it (the second step is just a natural consequence of the first one).

It's actually one of my aims now and it should be a must for any translator, as it is a part of TRADOS, the most widely used software for translation (CAT tool).

It is useful mainly when you are working on a large project and many translators are involved, it helps you be consistent regarding terminology.

I just love it! especially when you are working with specific or technical terminology, it's a great tool.

Cheers!

I think the way to make the most of this tool is when you have the option of connecting to a World Server Multiterm Database. I think it implies extra cost for the time being, but I'm sure this will tend to change in the long run. We'll see...
