You can change this behaviour by making a modification in the Windows registry. Be very careful when making modifications in the Windows registry because any unwanted changes cannot be undone and may harm the software on your machine. We advise you to make a backup before making any changes.
    1. Download the attached zip file 3039_ColorOverride.zip to your machine.
    2. Open the ZIP file and extract EnableTmfcColorOverride.reg
    3. Double-click on EnableTmfcColorOverride.reg
    4. Click Yes at the first pop-up and OK at the second.
The translation tools will now show your customised color settings without the light yellow, green and blue colors when opening a segment. The active segment is indicated by a boundary line instead.
If you want to revert settings back to normal, you can repeat the above steps for the file DisableTmfcColorOverride.reg also available in attached ZIP file. This will set the value of the newly inserted registry key OverrideColorsWithWindowsDefault in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Trados\Shared\TMFC back to "0" and therefore back to the default color settings of the SDL Trados translation tools.
    ¡Saludos!
