Sports Discuss anything related to sports, including the translation of sports terminology. Why is a bicycle kick called a "chilena” in Argentina? Is a home run a jonrón, a cuadrangular or simply a home run? Who is the best footballer in the world?

Glad to see another Braves fan Justin. I like the depth of our bullpen this year. Are you a big Bobby Cox fan? Personally I don't think he can take the team any farther and wish he would retire so we can get some new blood in that area.

April's almost over and what have we learned? Are David Ortiz and Carlos Delgado done (for me, no and yes)? Can the Yankees' pitching perform up to the necessary level (not yet...)? How long can the Royals stay within shouting distance of first place??? Baseball...it's so good...so, so good.

Now July is almost over and...the Cubs are still in first place (what a series this week!) but the most important thing is the fact that Manny Ramirez was traded to the Dodgers today. Wow. Jason Bay, his replacement, is pretty darn good, but....Sox fans, what do you say?

This attempt at stirring up some interest in baseball on the site was, without doubt a great success! Undaunted, I must mark the occasion of the final weekend of the regular season leading to the playoffs...the Cubs really have to worry about Zambrano's arm strength and Harden's walks. They're going to crap the bed again, aren't they? I hate baseball...

There are two teams in Chicago: the Cubs and the White Sox. The White Sox won the championship in 2005. The Cubs last won it in 1908. Which team do you think I have the pleasure of supporting?
