Well, as this is the Spanish for Spain forum, I understood "liar" is the word in Spanish, a synonym of "atar", for example.

This word is included both in English and Spanish dictionaries with different meanings, of course.

I completely misunderstood the original question but now I understand that the inquiry was for the meaning of "liar", a Spanish word.
Liar in Spanish could mean to get into trouble or to get involved with something.
