Default Aprieta ese rabito

In Venezuelan Spanish we have a saying that is "aprieta ese rabito/culito/culo/ esfinster/orto" that means when a bad situation is to come and you should be prepared for it..

Example:

"La situación economica esta mala"
"Y se pondrá peor, así que aprieta ese culito porque lo que viene es candela"

When you "aprietas el culo" is because you have to close it in order not to be penetrated by a penes...

How would you translate it? Is there any similar expression in English?

My try:

"The economic situation is really bad right now"
"And it will get worse so prepare you´re ass for you´ll be fuc*"

1. Cover your ass; cover your head; cover yourself

2. Watch your ass; watch your back; watch yourself

3. Run for cover; run and hide

...etc.

These phrases are more or less interchangeable but there are subtle differences. Where and how you use them depends on your audience and how crude you want to be.

Also:

Tighten your ass!

or

Pucker up (the anus); pucker it up; as in "You better pucker it up!"

Pucker = To become gathered, contracted, and wrinkled. (tighten).

Also used to lightheartedly prepare for a kiss on the mouth; as in pucker your lips "Pucker up and kiss me"
