I spoke to a friend in Mexico and she says the word does not exist there, so ¿quien sabe?.

Now I'm sort of in agreement with islasunflower. Maybe he said idiota and she just didn't hear him well.

I say we have Susan and her friend go find the guy and ask him what he said and what he meant, then come back and tell us so I can sleep at night.

hi, bonitamorena. this should be in a different thread, since it has no connection with the above. anyway, the word is "bazofia" and you can find it in the DRAE. it is basically something awful, disgusting -mainly food, but it can also be applied to a painting, for example, a movie, etc., or to a person (it's not nice at all, unless it's understood it's a joke).
