Default buenota

I'm looking for what may be the English equivalent to buenota, which I think is a Mexican expression. Thanks for your help!

Actually, I would say that this is a Venezuelan expression. It's used mostly in the capital region (Caracas). It means a nice fellow, a buddy, a real pal !!!!

Hi kellileanne!! Welcome to the forum.

I don't think there is an English equivalent.
In Spanish it means a person that is really good. The ending -ota means big, like "ratota" means "big rat".

Sorry kellileanne!! I misread the word “buenota”. Here in Venezuela, guys call “buenota” to a girl who is **** and has a very nice body shape.
So If you’ve been called “buenota” by a Venezuelan guy take it as a complement (jeje)

Thank you so much for your help. I may be here quite often as I'm slowly trying to learn Spanish.

In Mexico, buenota is a term for a hot chick.
