Thumbs up Bolivian slang words and prhases

Paceño: People from La Paz, or something from La Paz
¿No ve? You know? Bolivians, well Paceños say this all the time, sort of like people from the US..y’know?
    Makurka: Sore
La pichanga / es una pichanga: Super Easy
Que macana / es una macana: What a pain, bad luck
¡Que Grave!: Terrible, or like in English when describing a situation as grave. Although it is kind of archaic in the US and not many people use it, here Bolivians say it often.
    Changa / o: Young person
    Chocha / o: Happy
    Chela: Beer
    Chupar/farrear: To drink, a lot.
    Chaqui: Hangover
    Boliche: Bar, dive bar.
¡Velay!: This word is an expression of surprise which is used like ¡Caramba! in other Spanish speaking countries. You can use it in a variety of settings when you’re told something that surprises you.
Sorochi: That's how they call in Bolivia altitude sickness, sorochi / soroche. In fact, if you are in La Paz and want to take something to combat the nasty effects of this condition you will find sorochi/ soroche pills on sale.
Estoy yesca: This is a great little expression which means to have no money on you.

¿En Bolivia también le dicen "Chicha" a la Cerveza? ¿O es en otro país?
