Hola! Quería saber si es correcto usar la palabra "estadual" como sinónimo de "estatal". Me fije en la RAE y no aparece como palabra reconocida pero si lo vi en internet varias veces...

La palabra estadual no la había escuchado nunca. Busqué en Google y encuentro que en una enorme mayoría, las páginas citadas están escritas en portugués, sólo unas pocas en español, por lo que probablemente se trate de alguna interferencia de este idioma en alguna región cercana a Brasil... o de algún traductor despistado.

La palabra estadual se utiliza para referirse a los difrerentes estados de los EE.UU.
Si bien no figura en la RAE, su aceptación está dada por el uso.

Sí, adhiero a la respuesta de Mariana.

En varios casos, la palabra "estadual" me sirvió para evitar las confusiones que pueden suscitarse si se utiliza el término "estatal", que puede pensarse como referente del Estado como Nación.
