    Default Sandwich in spanish?

In trying to learn from software, I see one software says it's Emparedado (Duolingo) and Rosetta Stone is Sandwich.

    Are both correct?

    (Latin Spanish)

Both are correct. I hear sandwich used more often than emparedado. Guess it depends on where you are.

Hey usmdesigner, as vicente points out, it has to do with where you are. Here in Argentina we call it a sandwich!

Sánguche es válido, en Argentina es lo más usado.

En Argentina se utiliza la palabra Sandwich para referirse a un emparedado. De hecho, no se utiliza emparedado. Sandwich, o Sandwiches en plural.

I've heard so many translations for that simple word... Amongst them: sánguche, sánduche, sánduich, sandwich, emparedado (we could say this one is correct).

Although we find in RAE: sándwich. (Del ingl. sandwich, y este de J. Montagu, 1718-1792, cuarto conde de Sandwich, de quien se cuenta que se alimentó de esta clase de comida para no abandonar una partida de cartas).

Ambas son correctas. Acá en Argentina se usa sánguche. Aunque tb Sandwich y en ocasiones en nuestra jerga podes escuchar "chegusán".
