    Hola amayo,

    ¿Dónde escuchaste la frase? Entiendo que chumbo en la yerga se llama a un arma, revolver o pistola. Si tenes más contexto mejor.

    efectivamente, un chumbo es un arma de fuego. chumbar también es una forma coloquial de decir "ladrar" (to bark, not related to "ladrón"). also, in football (soccer for you my gringo friend), chumbar is to kick the ball really hard (the argie equivalent of a fastball, maybe?)

    Es una palabra que deriva del "lunfardo", una jerga originada en Buenos Aires. Significa revólver o pistola. Esta jerga era utilizada por delincuentes y gente de clase baja. Hay todo un diccionario de lunfardo y se pueden encontrar miles de palabras de este tipo.

    haha... thanks funny guy!! I´ve never heard of a "burner" before. Is that used for hand guns only like chumbo?

    I heard it used many times in the same way as Chumbo.
