Default Sales around the world

If you think that you will have a global market, prepare all your documents taking into account culture, language, currency, time format, taxes, and everything that has to be accurate for that market.

Believe me, sales goes 100% higher when you talk customer's language!

That's part of the target. It's like trying to sell to teenagers, or little children, you have to "speak their language". If you don't localize anything, your sales are not going to be very good ;-)

Default I agree with you all!

Yes, definitely, cultural codes are sometimes even more important than language itself, so if you want to go global all these issues should be taken into account. Cheers!

Default Culture

Yes, culture is definitely very important.

In fact, what is right for one culture may be considered an insult in a different culture.

When we deal with different cultures we should try and be open-minded and be ready to think of others' needs instead of thinking of our own ones all the time.

This happens to diplomats, and we, translators, should become a kind of "language diplomats", of course, guided by our source text.
