Can anyone help with:-
1 - Terrazas invertidas 2 - Anisotropías 3 - Heterogeneidades Nos. 2 & 3 refer to resistencia - for example of mortero. Can anyone recommend a good Spanish-English dictionary covering the field of architecture and construction - I obviously need to buy one? Is there anything online that would keep me going temporarily? Thanks in advance Ed |

Segun una contribución de "Geni" (23/07/08) una "terraza invertida" es el aislamiento por la cara exterior de una terraza o de una cubierta.
En el mundo inglés, mucho más práctico que el español, el término a utilizar es sencilla y llanamente "external wall insulation." Hay un artículo en inglés sobre las ventajas e inconvenientes de usar aislamiento externo para las terrazas que precisamente le dá la razon a "Geni." Aislamiento por la cara interior ("internal wall insulation") es la mejor opción. La referencia es: http://www.greenbuildingforum.co.uk/...ggo_1158770148 ............. "Anisotropía" es "anisotropy" en inglés, la variabilidad de una propiedad física según la dirección que se tome. Por ejemplo, el fenómeno de lentes polarizadas. .............
