Default alimento

THE SPOUSES OWE FIDELITY, ASSINSTANCE AND ALIMONY? or SUPPORT?

Diego

Holla Diego:

Quote:

I agree with Mem but the word fidelity is not that common...loyal, loyalty are used more often in marriage terms...although infidelity is commonly heard in divorce matters (jaja)...neither is assistance...support being more common.

In this case I think alimentos means to provide for, nurture, care for (support) and asistencia means to give moral and emotional support, or vice versa.

My version of the intent of the sentence:

The husband and wife must be mutually loyal and supportive and must provide for one another.
