Default oir y recibir

I'm working with a Legal document and came across a few terms I'm unsure about:
"autorizando a la ultima persona indicada para oir y recibir notificaciones y documentos"

I'm sure it isn't to "hear notifications" and so I am lost...help porfis!

Thanks

You "hear" notifications before the court or in your office by means of the "Actuario", then he/she requests you to sign the "notificación"... so I consider correct to translate it as "hear and receive nitifications".

If you don´t agree... you may say: "to receive notifications".

It also means you "heard" the "notificación" and you signed it.
