    Default cotejo. gv. gch.

I have at the bottom of a birth certificate, typed onto the form, "cotejo. gv. gch." It may be that intended to appear on the line under "DERECHOS $," apparently intended for the amount of the fee. Then it appears to have been initialed.

Can anyone tell me what those letters stand for exactly and what they are intended to signify?

    Hello vikslen,

What's the country of the birth certificate?

Translation of above words means 'I compare. gv. gch.' Though not sure in which context it has been written.

I asked my Mexican friend. She said "cotejo" is related to "verification". My guess is that cotejo.gv.gch at the bottom is an indication that what is written above is authentic. (My friend though does not know the exact meaning of cotejo.gv.gch. Neither was she interested in looking for her birth certificate and checking the matter out.)
