How to Evaluate a Translation
Hi all!
I'm just wondering if any of you have experience evaluating translations or if your translation have been evaluated by someone.
My main concern is how to measure the Quality of a translation, we could score it in a scale from 1 to 10, being 10 a perfect translation for example.
It would be great if we could build together a Checklist of things to take in account when evaluating a translation and how important is an error in the final score.
For example, I think that a translation with spelling issues should not be scored with more than a 6.
Saludos!

Hi Ari
A translation with spelling mistakes is unacceptable.. A 6 would be a too kind. There are all sorts of grammar check tools to avoid them

Re: How to Evaluate a Translation
Any kind of mistake in translation is not at all acceptable. We define a good translation as one in which no errors are made. Marking less than 8 could not be said as a quality translation.
