QA Tools - xBench and Trados 2009 files

Hi Colleagues! I thought it might be useful to share my experience with all of you. After discovering the benefits of xBench as a QA tool with DOC and TTX bilingual files, I was wondering if it can be used with Trados 2009 bilingual files (in XLIFF format).

I've found that you can check all things for an ongoing translation (e.g. source and target segments are the same, either source or target inconsistencies,, number formatting, etc.) and also check the use of glossaries, project exclusion lists, etc.

Even though (at least my version) does not seem to offer Trados 2009 formats, you can choose the XLIFF Oracle one and it works fine. Enjoy it! :)
