How do you ask for pizza in other countries?
Recently in the thread: http://www.english-spanish-translato...-el-mundo.html
We experienced how to say Pop-Corn in other parts of the world.
And I was wondering: Does the same happen with Pizza for example?
When I visited Taiwan a few months ago, they called it /Piza/ in the street, as phonetic.
In the international airport of Qatar, the same happened.
So! this are the questions,
- WHAT NAME DOES PIZZA HAVE IN YOUR COUNTRY?
- DO YOU KNOW HOW TO ASK FOR ONE IN OTHER COUNTRIES?
Re: How do you ask for pizza in other countries?
En esta pagina (https://www.indifferentlanguages.com/es/palabra/pizza) aparece una tabla de como se llama en algunos países.
En la mayoría de ellos se llama igual.

Although, be careful when visiting Italy and asking for a pizza because you'll only get bread!!

I was told that you had to ask for pizza with whatever toppings you'd like. It's as if you customized it while you order.

Originally, pizza in Italy came only with tomato sauce. Then they added cheese and other ingredients. Nowadays the most common one is Margherita, which comes with cheese and basel. It's the "national pizza" since it comes with the colors of the flag (red, white and green).
By the way, I've never tasted a better pizza than the one in Naples. Delicious!!!
