GT4Word (Google Translate for Microsoft Word) seamlessly integrates Google Translate into your Word application and it is a great tool for professional translators.

GT4Word contains two modules: GT4Clipboard and GT4Trados.

GT4Clipboard

Using Copy/Paste, we can copy a section of text and paste it to somewhere else. Using GT4Clipboard, you can copy the the source text and paste the translation! It is very easy to use: select a source word or phrase, press CTRL+C to copy it to clipboard, and then press CTRL+ALT+V to paste the translation from Google Translate to the cursor position.

GT4Trados

When using TRADOS Translator’s workbench in word, after you use ALT+HOME or CTRL+ALT+N to open a sentence to translate, press CTRL+ALT+M, then the translated result from Google Translate appears in the target language field.

In Microsoft Word, pressing CTRL+ALT+G anytime will bring out the Setup Screen where you can set up your working language pair.



Installation

Copy the gt4word.dot to your startup folder of your Office (it is usually located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP”) and restart your Word.

GT4Word is not a freeware. My days of hard work and my invest of time and money on learning programming deserve returns. You can use this Beta version glitch-free for 500 times. After that you will occasionally receive a notice asking you to upgrade or purchase but it will still be fully functional.
*GT4Word works with language pairs supported by online Google Translate.
Gt4Word gets translation results from Google Translate server real-time and it requires internet connection.
I do not collect any information from you. However, when using GT4word, your source text will be sent to Google Server to be translated. Do not use GT4Word if you do not trust Google.
