Default Re: Resx

You can translate ResX files with XLIFF Editor.

Resources in .Resx File Format
The .resx resource file format consists of XML entries, which specify objects and strings inside XML tags. One advantage of a .resx file is that when opened with a text editor (such as Notepad or Microsoft Word) it can be written to, parsed, and manipulated. When viewing a .resx file, you can actually see the binary form of an embedded object (a picture for example) when this binary information is a part of the resource manifest. Apart from this binary information, a .resx file is completely readable and maintainable.

Hi Veronica,
The .resx resource file format consists of XML entries, which specify objects and strings inside XML tags. There is usually text to translate in those files that belong to the .NET framework. Across, for example, imports those files without any problems and shows you the translatable text.

ResX files are used in software development. They contain the text shown in the user interface of a program.

You can translate ResX files with Swordfish. Get a demo version from http://www.maxprograms.com and translate your file.

Rodolfo

Thanks Rodolfo!
I think the one I have is like that, it opened with Catalyst. But then I came across another resx file and some one from technology told me it was a file with a "picture" in it. Is it possible?

Yes, ResX files can contain pictures too.
