    Default Transit

I have worked with Transit and I have to say it is a bit different to other CAT tools and not that easy to learn. But there is a version called Transit Satellite PE which you would use to just receive prepared jobs. This version has a very good Tutorial with 5 lessons.

    Default Iīve tried it

    Itīs quite different from Trados.

What I like is that you have all there in the same package (source file, target file, dictionary, memory)...
But I still need to get more familiar with it to have a better opinion...

any one else has used it?

Yes, I used it. I have the freelance version, which is quite limited. I think that the biggest disadvantage of this tool is that this Satellite PE version doesn't allow you to work with the same file in a different computer. So if you want someone else take a look or correct your translation in their own PC, it's not possible.

    I still prefer Trados...

Transit Satellite is a free and very limited version of Transit, and it generally crashes during the translation (Alt + Ins). You can buy a time-limited license that works fine!
