I could only provide you with one hip hop.

I'm not a big listener, but I do listen to Black Eyed Peas or even Fergie. I'm not really into any of the big heavy hip hop.

Fort Minor is good.

Sorry I'm not much help.

I don't know much but if you like the "gangstah" style, I guess the most popular know are 50 Cent, Snoop Dog or Eminem, among others.

Other popular singers are Jay-z, Sean Paul, Rihanna... there is a HUGE amount of Hip Hop singers right now in the USA

The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, OutKast, Company Flow, Black Star...those are the first ones that come to my head. I will add more later as I remember. Most are old.

I love Jay-Z, Nelly, Missy Elliot and Mary J. Blige, although she is probably more of an R&B singer than a rapper.

Good list Scott! Outkast absolutely, Goodie Mob as well. Dead Prez, The Coup, Biggie Smalls are all good.

If it's more for the music than the lyrics, your boyfriend might like some radio hits---

MIMS--This is why im hot

DJ UNK---Walk it out
