the film is a remake of the 1975 documentary, also called Grey Gardens.This HBO movie captures the life of the Beales (mother and daugher), aristocrats who were aunt and cousin to Jacky Bouvier Kennedy, and how they slid from high society to sharing rotting living quarters with litters of cats and raccoons. Amazing!
Great performances by Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange. Lange just won an Emmy for this role. Highly recommended!!
