Thread: Worst movie ending EVER

A bit off topic, but I was so let down by the Sopranos finale. the Lost writers have already assured viewers that the Lost ending will be better.

As for movies, the ending of I am Legend really was bad. I didnt really enjoy any of it, but the ending, yeah...

The ending of The Mist is the BEST part!!! In fact, the characters are so dumb and the plot is so basic that during the whole movie you just want "the mist" to swallow everyone, so the world would get rid of that bunch of morons!! And then the ending is kind of surprising...

I agree with Eze, War of the Worlds has a terrible ending, not because of what happens to the ETs, but because of what happened to the human main characters!!

Actually VERY ententaining and I highly recommend it, but it's got the worst ending I've ever seen. It is actually worth paying the ticket just to see how weird it ends.

Really? I caught it on DVD and I thought it was quite good. The ending is very dramatic. You can only imagine what went through the guy's head after he makes the decision he makes and sees where that leads him. I didn't think it was a bad ending.

I feel the need to add the ending of "The day the earth stood still" to this list.

I wouldn´t say it´s "the worst" but it´s in the group. I didn´t like the whole move but the ending was so foreseeable and silly...

I agree with Analaura. It's ending was really a disaster! I've heard that there was one version of this movie (available on dvd) which had an alternative ending. Is this true? If so, I'll be really interested in watching it; anything but the ending from the cinema!
