    Default Cloverfield

Has anyone seen that movie?! It was made by the produce of Lost (J.J. Abraham). Some people in the States (quite excentric, if you ask me) were looking for clues for the 4th season of Lost in the movie... I think that's a little too much. If anybody saw it, it would be nice to know what you think of it!

I'm going this weekend. Just in case, I won't eat much. And if I don't get nauseous with just thinking of it, I'll let you know!

I went to the cinema last week with my wife. The options were Cloverfield and The bucket list. We chose The bucket list. Cloverfield has something "suspicious": it's the kind of movie you won't see unless somebody told you it's a good movie.

And I don't know why, I think all the posters of this thread agree with me

I've heard that Cloverfield was pretty like "The Blair Witch Project". Is it true?

Don't you think this movie is kind of "cliché"? Always the same story: a monster who aaaaalways appears... where?? the US, of course!! I mean, the movie might be excellent but... please, new scripts!!!!!!!!

I saw it last week and I Loved it!!!! Yeah I know, the same monster story... I went to the cinema waiting for that... but it was not. I got totally amused!!! You really feel like being in NY and below the monster... And there are so many things you have to guess and discover...

Funny issue: in order to strenghten the story, the producers made real blogs and webpages of the characters and enterprises in the movie, so you can get right into the plot and gather data.

I saw it.. I liked it better than Blair Witch, but I didn't like the ending.

I finally saw it last weekend. That's the proof of only one thing: it's not what story you tell but how you tell it. I don't think I remember having felt so close to the story of a movie as it happened to me with this one. Tell me you didn't think of September 11th when you saw the sequence in the supermarket. Even when you can't relate to the story of a monster attacking the city (hasn't happened to me at least!), you get that basic human experience: we are powerless before an overwhelming power.
Also, that sensation of a thousand horrible things coming your way and not being able to know what it is... really good.
