Default What about 2008 for Hollywood?

I think 2007 was a bad year for Hollywood. I have seen the trailers of some movies for 2008. I think some of them will be funny or interesting. Here I mention the "I-must-see-it" movies:

I am legend
Prince Caspian
Half Blood Prince
10,000 b.C.
Spiderwick chronicles
Ironman
Indiana Jones and the Kindgdom of the Crystal Skull
Kung fu Panda
The Incredible Hulk
Get Smart the Movie
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
The Dark Knight
Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
Madagascar 2

What do you think guys?

Julio

2007 was perhaps not the best year for Hollywood, but it did pick up toward the end: 3:10 to Yuma, In the Valley of Elah, The Assassination of Jesse James..., Gone Baby Gone, American Gangster, No Country for Old Men, I'm Not There, Sweeney Todd, and, saving the best for last, There Will be Blood.

I hate to go off on a tangent, but these movies can be put up against the output of any year and be quite strong. Unfortunately, there were about 100,000 sequels, prequels, and threequels being made and drowned out the truly good films that were produced, but 2007 was a solid year overall.

Great picks, Scott!

Thanks for the recommendations :-)

I don't think it was a bad year, but a year in which a few average to bad movies were considered to be excellent.

Example: "Once" was rated with like 98% at rottentomatoes and I thought it was simply boring. No hidden "charm" or anything.

Oh by the way, I'm really looking forward to Madagascar 2!!!!!

I would add "Atonement" to my "I-must-see-it" list. I've read the book and I really liked it. I recommend it

Talking bad year for Hollywood. . . .

This is not a Hollywood movie. But, if it is released in Argentina, will be this year!

I hope that they enjoy it!

The "Red Baron" movie looks really good. Of course, if Snoopy does not make a cameo, I will be lodging a formal complaint.

I heard they are planning a movie on He-man and another one on the Thundercats... speaking of Shakespeare!
