The Family Stone
Has anyone seen this movie? It is on cable here now and I wanted to know if anyone has thought it was any good. Should I see it? what do you guys think. I just love Sarah Jessica Parker!

You know what the problem is sometimes? People are not 100% bad or 100% good. Sean Penn once said in the Actor's Studio that an actor deprives us of a character's humanity when he plays that character too radically. That's what I felt with this movie. At first, you hate Sarah Jessica Parker's character, and then suddenly, she is not that bad. Same thing happens with all the characters.
In spite of it all... I didn't think it was that bad. It was just a typical Christmas story with all its ups and downs. |
