Default BAD L10n and I16n in entertainment?

L10n (Localization) and I16n (Internationalization) both mouthfuls get a sour treatment when they are not well considered in the original writing process or even in the post production.

Since G11n (Globalization) of the entertainment business became more of a household appliance and less of an event outside your home, new industries of translating have became more relevant to get the product overseas, although the studios don't always use them.

A few examples landed by this website So if you are watching something that's out of the realm of your native language, you may want to hold what you get from the movie or documentary with tweezers.

What other examples of bad L10N and I16N have you found in E11T?

Yesterday, while searching in an online-streaming movie site for the Jim Carrey movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" got a little confused when I saw that a little bit of the title got literally LOST IN TRANSLATION.
    Mostly the poetry of it:
    • Original: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
    • Latinoamérica: Eterno resplandor de una mente sin recuerdos.
    • España: ¡Olvídate de mi!

    Hi, eidjit!

This seems to be a very interesting topic although I'm afraid I'm not sure what localization, internationalization and globalization mean.

Would you be able to give me a definition and examples for each one of them please?

    Thanks in advance!

    Mostly the poetry of it:
Same happens with one of my favorite childhood movies:

    Título Original: The Parent Trap.
    En Latinoamérica: Juego de Gemelas.
En España: Tú a Londres y yo a California. (」゜ロ゜)」

Agustinab, as far as I know internationalization and localization refers to adapting terms to different languages, regarding regional differences.

    Could you please clarify eidjit?
