Does it have to be between those two? Even though he's a Republican, McCain seems a pretty solid candidate. He would definitely help Colombia with the Farc problem and would keep Chavez on a short leash as well.
(un poco mano dura no viene mal, como decimos en Argentina) What do you think? |

I am very impressed by Mc Caines background. And I agree, any help with the FARC is a plus!

Personally, I am apolitical. I despise politicians no matter what party they belong to.
However, I know that somebody has to win so I would prefer McCain because of his age, experience and background. I don't know much about Barrack Obama but I prefer him over Hillary Clinton. I agree with exxecentric, Clinton is phony, overly-ambitious and a thoroughly dislikeable person. |

PLEASE NO McCAIN!!! We need a real change in the US, one that can only come from switching parties. The war, the economy, US relations with the rest of the world....none of this will improve with another republican. (personal opinion)

You are probably right, emily. I do find Mc Cain rather old. I admire his war record and his strength, but on the other hand, I think any country needs a change.
I congratulate the Americans though on their not repeating a candidate once he has failed to achieve the presidency. We have just celebrated our national elections and again Rajoy(conservative) who went for the presidency for the second time, failed to achieve anything and again the socialist party has won. I think this is outrageous. How often does a person have to fail , to stand back and let others get to the front??

Has anybody seen Hillary on The Tonight Show? She was very "warm" and has changed from being and ice-cold fish to a warm and warmhearted woman. She was funny and witty and campaigning intelligently.
I don't know,....just strategy?

I didn't see her on the Tonight Show, but I did see her on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and she was laughing and making jokes even about touchy subjects. The Clintons are charming people; they know how to interact and how to appeal to people...she's turning on the good stuff when she needs it, though she has no chance right now. The most offensive to me was when she talked about Obama as potentially being her vice-president...huh?

She still has a chance, mathematically nobody could get the necessary delegates, and she has more super delegates than Obama... By the way, I like Obama as Vice President.
